Merry Christmas - Poetry

Merry Christmas to you all,

It is time to grab the family and have a ball,

We may weep,

The secrets inside we keep,

The food comas we bring on,

Time is soon gone,

From receiving to giving,

It is the time for forgiving,

We made it here,

We sit infront of the people we hold so dear,

For who we have become always searching for the sun,

The strength gained from the battles we have won,

We may cry,

We say we are fine but we lie,

We are merry and bright,

Always keeping our dreams close in sight,

Deep within the cheers,

We face many fears,

Make up covers the scars that are skin deep,

Nightmares haunt our sleep,

Christmas is a time,

To feel in your prime,

Often we don't and it kills us inside,

Life is one hell of a ride,

You can never plan,

Of that I am not a fan,

Through the hurt and sadness there is always some good to see,

I am trying to be as happy as can be,

The pieces of my jigsaw will always have missing pieces I cannot find,

That thought plays to much on my mind,

I guess that is the mystery of me,

I have tried to be the best person I can be,

Surrounding myself with joy,

So life I can learn to enjoy,

For the good and the bad,

Never wanting to feel sad,

The year we look back on,

We blinked and it was gone,

2018 taught me more than I truly know,

I choose through it all to glow,

Lost in the cheer,

I may disappear,

I am always near,

Sometimes my eyes just need to shed a tear,

The hurricane of madness overwhelms me,

From pain I will never be free,

Pick up a bauble and add it to the tree,

The twinkle in your eye and in the Christmas lights I see,

Wrapped up in the paper mass,

People keep refilling your glass,

Add the angel to the top of the tree to watch over you,

Inspiring you to keep being you,

You don't want to waste the moments we treasure,

Being with the ones you love is always a pleasure,

We should and can eat,

And dance to a beat,

Celebrate how strong you are,

Continue to be a shining star,

We are here,

From the people's hearts we will never disappear,

Make a wish and hold it close to you,

Never lose hope - whatever you do,

Merry Christmas all,

Wrap yourself in love - you deserve it all.

COOKING TIPS

#1
Feeling sluggish and rubbish when you have woken up? Get boosting up on bananas the more the better - they will help settle your stomach, boosting digestion, they are a mood enhancer, they will give you the energy you need and keep you full. Buy my book for banana receipe ideas.

#2
Wake up every morning and ATLEAST have one glass of lemon water before doing anything else! Ideally try to drink a litre of water. The lemon wakes up your digestive system ready for the day and has great cleansing properties.

#3
Check your dairy and meat intake - dairy can sit in your system for up to seven days unable to digest properly. Meaning other foods also get neglected and nurtients aren't absorbed properly and you feel extremely bloated. Go and smell your food bin, your stomach will be in that state. Rotting foods in your belly - hmm nice.

#4
DO NOT FEAR CARBS - THEY ARE NOT THE ENEMY! CARB UP!!
Bananas, Rice, Potatoes, Leafy Greens, Corn, Beans, Lentils etc PACK THEM IN GO MAD.

#5
NEVER COUNT CALORIES - NEVER RESTRICT!! These restriction 'starvation' diets who tell you to only eat 500 calories a day then have a treat day - where you binge out and eat WAY too much, is simply messing up your metabolism and on your binge days yours body stores all the fat meaning you gain weight because it knows it is going to go back into starvation mode and needs to hold onto every little thing it can. HELLO WEIGHT GAIN.

Life is too short not to live it to the full, making yourself happy.
