Poetry Sunday- NEW Directions

New Directions

New direction and a new dreams,

Is it all as crazy as it seems?

Illness can trap us in,

Where do I begin?

For so long we have allowed illness to hold us down,

We feel nervous about venturing out into town,

We live in fear,

We regularly shed a tear,

For the life we want to live,

Me- I hope you an forgive,

I can lead the way,

You make my day,

To see you smile,

It’s been a while,

To injection you with passion once again today,

It’s a new day,

Time for new dreams and goals to be set,

Don’t be someone who lives in regret,

Don’t forget,

To live out those dreams you have set,

It’s never the right time,

You will never feel in your prime,

Act now and follow your gut,

Get yourself out of the dark rut,

There is so much to learn,

The fire in your soul does burn,

Don’t feed the sadness & focus on the good,

Doing what you want not what you should,

So be the light through the dark nights,

Sparkle like all of the lights,

This is the time for you to shine,

To once again fight back and take a win,

Are you with me or are your holding back,

In motivation you cannot lack,

Facing our fears,

Can bring many tears,

To brave,

Our own lives we must save,

We worry for what the future may hold,

Hoping to others our dreams aren't sold,

To sit and wait,

Is playing with fate,

Only to be rewarded with opportunities missed,

For the dreams we played down and dismissed,

Moving on into the week,

I know the weather & our moods are bleak,

Please just listen to what you heart and gut say,

Be the one to make your own day,

We offer our lives to the world you see,

Don't forget about me,

For the new and scary door we must open to be free,

To the world you should be free to shine - you see.

COOKING TIPS

#1
Feeling sluggish and rubbish when you have woken up? Get boosting up on bananas the more the better - they will help settle your stomach, boosting digestion, they are a mood enhancer, they will give you the energy you need and keep you full. Buy my book for banana receipe ideas.

#2
Wake up every morning and ATLEAST have one glass of lemon water before doing anything else! Ideally try to drink a litre of water. The lemon wakes up your digestive system ready for the day and has great cleansing properties.

#3
Check your dairy and meat intake - dairy can sit in your system for up to seven days unable to digest properly. Meaning other foods also get neglected and nurtients aren't absorbed properly and you feel extremely bloated. Go and smell your food bin, your stomach will be in that state. Rotting foods in your belly - hmm nice.

#4
DO NOT FEAR CARBS - THEY ARE NOT THE ENEMY! CARB UP!!
Bananas, Rice, Potatoes, Leafy Greens, Corn, Beans, Lentils etc PACK THEM IN GO MAD.

#5
NEVER COUNT CALORIES - NEVER RESTRICT!! These restriction 'starvation' diets who tell you to only eat 500 calories a day then have a treat day - where you binge out and eat WAY too much, is simply messing up your metabolism and on your binge days yours body stores all the fat meaning you gain weight because it knows it is going to go back into starvation mode and needs to hold onto every little thing it can. HELLO WEIGHT GAIN.

Life is too short not to live it to the full, making yourself happy.
