What a week - WOW.

Firstly thank you all for all the wonderful love, support and kind words. It really mean the world to me and a lot more than words can even begin to explain. It has been one manic week and I don't know about you but I am EXHAUSTED. Well and truly. It has been so amazing though, in every way. I am so incredibly thankful and grateful for the opportunities but also the people who make the memories and experiences even more special. Thank you. From Abba night, to ITV, to BBC radio Lancashire, That's Lancashire TV, to the tower glowing green it really does take me aback and leaves me speechless.

I have had so many wonderful messages and people reaching out for help and advice which is why we find the courage to put ourselves out there, put our stories out there and really open up in hope we don't just help people. But protect and save lives by people getting themselves checked out, exercising the prevention methods and knowing the symptoms KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.

Over the last week or so over and with it being Lyme Disease awareness month I have had the pleasure to interview wonderful, inspiring people. Sharing all their work within the Lyme community but also their own personal stories. In hope that people find comfort in their struggles and stories and can relate. I want to use this month to really focus solely on Lyme Disease on my podcast channel because I think it is important to show how debilitating this disease is but also how different everyone's stories are but that you are NOT alone in your fight. I hope you are enjoying the episodes so far and if you want to catch up and have a listen then there are a number of ways you can listen right now:

If you have an iPhone then you can ask Siri to bring up my Chronic But Iconic podcast channel and select the episode YOU want to listen too.

Check out the podcast channel on Spotify, again just search from Chronic But Iconic.

Download the FREE Anchor app and search for Chronic But Iconic.

Google podcasts, again search for Chronic But Iconic & finally RadioPublic where you can search for Chronic But Iconic.

You can stream ALL the episodes for free and remember to hit the subscribe button so you will be notified when there is a new episode available to stream and listen too.

Remember..

I am so grateful and blessed for the truly amazing week we have had as a community this week and I must say I can't pin-point any PARTICULAR highlights as the whole week has been incredible and I have loved every minute. I am so exhausted and tired now for us. EXHAUSTED but it has all been so worth it because the strength, courage ad bravery has really helped so many.

We are definitely leaving our lime mark on the world. I know as the days went on the brighter my green became but I can't help but support and get into the spirit of the month! Thank goodness for the lime green trend right now!

I am not often speechless but seeing one of Britain's most loved landmarks light up green in support of Lyme Disease for not just ONE but THREE nights , just before the tower's own 125th birthday celebrations was somehing so very speical and incredibly magical.

Just a few interviews from this week and last July's BBC Breakfast Interview:

Please help spread the awareness and the message as much as possible. Education is key and prevention is the best cure.

Let's keep the ball rolling and keep spreading the awareness message as far and as wide as possible. Love always,

Sophie

COOKING TIPS

#1
Feeling sluggish and rubbish when you have woken up? Get boosting up on bananas the more the better - they will help settle your stomach, boosting digestion, they are a mood enhancer, they will give you the energy you need and keep you full. Buy my book for banana receipe ideas.

#2
Wake up every morning and ATLEAST have one glass of lemon water before doing anything else! Ideally try to drink a litre of water. The lemon wakes up your digestive system ready for the day and has great cleansing properties.

#3
Check your dairy and meat intake - dairy can sit in your system for up to seven days unable to digest properly. Meaning other foods also get neglected and nurtients aren't absorbed properly and you feel extremely bloated. Go and smell your food bin, your stomach will be in that state. Rotting foods in your belly - hmm nice.

#4
DO NOT FEAR CARBS - THEY ARE NOT THE ENEMY! CARB UP!!
Bananas, Rice, Potatoes, Leafy Greens, Corn, Beans, Lentils etc PACK THEM IN GO MAD.

#5
NEVER COUNT CALORIES - NEVER RESTRICT!! These restriction 'starvation' diets who tell you to only eat 500 calories a day then have a treat day - where you binge out and eat WAY too much, is simply messing up your metabolism and on your binge days yours body stores all the fat meaning you gain weight because it knows it is going to go back into starvation mode and needs to hold onto every little thing it can. HELLO WEIGHT GAIN.

Life is too short not to live it to the full, making yourself happy.
