Happy Monday all, with a new week comes new possibilities and new opportunities. It is often hard to pull ourselves out of bed on a Monday. Back in my school days, Monday's were always doom and gloom. Nothing ever really to look forward to and often feeling overwhelmed with stress and anxieties. I am lucky, so very lucky. That Monday's are now a very exciting day. It is a day that is often daunting but exciting. I am blessed to enjoy my work and my work does not feel like work because I am so passionate about what I do. That is key in life, but it is often difficult to reach this destination. We all have to work very hard, fight through the tough times to reach the Holy Grail so to speak. It is never easy. Maybe there isn't a Holy Grail at all. It is our attitude towards work, life, challenges and opportunities that is really the key. We all have to work through things we would rather not but we have to keep faith in the fact that we hold the key to our destiny. We paint the picture that shows our lives. We can either add colour or add the darker shades. My outlook on life, my journey is always shown through my mindful colouring. I have spoken openly before how this hobby soothes me. It really is a good form of therapy. Like life you are faced with a picture, a situation that is left up to you to bring to life. All my colourings are bright, often a little crazy and wacky but that is my personality. I love to add life to a picture, bring out the best and make it eye catching. Not add dull, dark colours that add a touch of sadness not life. I think in a round about way it shows you what kind of person you are, how you approach life and it's challenges. Do you recognise the challenge in a blank canvas? Do you want to add life? Can you always see the beauty? Maybe when we are having a difficult day we need to look at the situation as if it was a blank picture and think about colouring it in, but making the best of it. It may help us work out how to deal with the tasks we are faced with, with a little less worry and more creativity. Remember, there is no right or wrong way to colour in a picture. Like life, it is YOUR take and you portray the picture as YOU want it to be seen. A creative mind can be dangerous, but I think it is massive strength. I am so thankful for my own wacky, 'head in the clouds' and crazy mind. Whatever anxieties we may have we have to think positivity and keep our calm. Be strong to face our fears because we don't know what is doors keys can unlock if we don't try.

I would like to thank you for the feedback from my book so far. It really is my heart on paper but I only hope that people can find comfort and relate in my words, my story and my struggle. It has taken courage for me to be so open. It is hard knowing you have all read my inner thoughts, feelings and struggles. People don't think how much courage it takes to be so open. Maybe years of harsh judgements has caused me to gain a thicker skin. The good I feel the book will do far outweighs the critics. My life, my journey isn't perfect. Perfection is a myth, so if I went searching for that -- I would never achieve anything. When it comes to helping others, I push my own thoughts and feelings to one side. I truly do hope that my book is touching but also enjoyable. I guess you will know me inside out by the end.
Don't forget to grab yourselves a Lancashire Evening Post today and take a read of page 13. Thank you Nicola Adam, for your kind and caring article. Again, I opened up a lot on my interview. So it is nerve wracking having everyone read about my story but I hope more people will purchase and enjoy the book. Thank you Nicola Adam.
