Boston Announces New Lyme 'Jab'


Finally, finally we will be able to begin preventing Lyme disease. 

Boston scientists at Massachusetts Medical School have announced that they have developed a jab. Through their lastest tests it's has a 100 per cent success rate on mice. 

It completely halts the bacteria from infecting the organism and entering the bloodstream. The plan is to run further tests on humans over the following two to three years. 

The jab can't be labelled as a vaccine as it doesn't work as a normal vaccine where you get a shot of the bug for the immune system to learn, remember and fight. This jab contains 'proteins' that are designed to target the dangerous bacteria Borrelia Burgdorferi. 

How does it really work?

When the body is infected with the bacteria then the 'proteins' detect it, binding to the bacteria and destroying each bacterial cell. 

The proteins in the jab only have a lifespan of 6-9 months. So the jab would need to be given annually. Idealling in the Spring ready for the high risk summer season. 

The tests have shown that mice bitten as many as 7 times in one go with the jab did not becoming infected with Lyme. This is all very positive. 

The jab, is said to be marketed around £150. Yes, I know this is quite expensive and annually could add up to a lot but it's far, far cheaper than treatment and tests for Lyme. So in reality it's a small price to pay. Remember good health is priceless!

Lyme cases within the U.K. alone has increased by a shocking 300 per cent increase from just 2011! Lyme is a real threat to our society and is known as the 'hidden epidemic' across the world. If we don't get a hold on the disease, Lyme will get a hold on us!

Symptoms can develop shortly after being bitten the include symptoms such as;

- flu like symptoms 

- bulls eye rash

- headaches 

- fevers 

Whilst antibiotics can cure early stage Lyme ( within a month of being bitten ). If left undiagnosed antibiotics can only halt the bacertia and the damage they cause is far more debilitating and damaging to the body. 

These include;

- memory loss

- joint pain

- weakness in limbs

- intolerances

- migraines

- sore throats

- depression 

- seizures 

- vision problems

- sensitivities

-cancer  

And more. 

This is why prevention and early detection of the disease IS vital!!

Please take all the precautions to prevent becoming a victim of Lyme. 

It is frustrating that there has been a jab for Lyme for 20 years. Though due to a number of lawsuits were withdraw from the market. 

How many lives could have been saved over this time period!?

This isn't a silly little itchy bite this is the difference between a healthy life to living in debilitating pain, horrendous symptoms and endless, expensive treatments. 

Don't ignore - seek treatment immediately if you are bitten or begin experiencing flu like symptoms. 

This jab, won't help already infected individuals and is by no means a cure for sufferers but I am pleased with this massive push to help prevent the disease and save so many people from suffering with this awful disease.

Check your dairy and meat intake - dairy can sit in your system for up to seven days unable to digest properly. Meaning other foods also get neglected and nurtients aren't absorbed properly and you feel extremely bloated. Go and smell your food bin, your stomach will be in that state. Rotting foods in your belly - hmm nice.

Bananas, Rice, Potatoes, Leafy Greens, Corn, Beans, Lentils etc PACK THEM IN GO MAD.

NEVER COUNT CALORIES - NEVER RESTRICT!! These restriction 'starvation' diets who tell you to only eat 500 calories a day then have a treat day - where you binge out and eat WAY too much, is simply messing up your metabolism and on your binge days yours body stores all the fat meaning you gain weight because it knows it is going to go back into starvation mode and needs to hold onto every little thing it can. HELLO WEIGHT GAIN. 

Life is too short not to live it to the full, making yourself happy.
