I wanted to put this blog together for myself and in hope to help others too. To remind ourselves that we need to look closer to home. We can give out endless love, devoting ourselves completely and utterly to the ones we deem most important in our lives. Though is this a lovely thing to do and I am not saying not to love your loved ones the best you possibly can. I am simply rising the issue that we get so wrapped up in loving others we forget about ourselves. We neglect ourselves. Forgetting we too deserve love and kindness.
We need to keep spreading the love we do but also ensure that there is some love left for ourselves.
The media also brainwash us and I included fall into the trap of worrying endlessly about our outer beauty.
We are surrounded by pictures of drop dead gorgeous woman and handsome men every minute of every day!
We are made to feel like we should look this way to be accepted among society and be beautiful. The end goal being to be able to love one's self and to be loved. Though seeing these images only cause us to feel the opposite towards ourselves.
I was truly alarmed when I read 'IT'S SURGERY SEASON!' In the latest magazines. It digusted me. Apparently now May is becoming the month when people mainly celebs begin having surgery to get the summer body they want. And now celebs have made it known and something that is the norm to be doing through the month of May! How is this right?! It upsets and disgusts me.
We forget that the pictures we see within the media and through social media are all modified and though many celebs claim they haven't had plastic surgery, so many lie about it because who wants to be seen as not naturally beautiful? Nobody. However, they fail to realise that by changing themselves they only make themselves look worse and don't consider that true beauty runs deeper than just skin deep.
A beautiful person to me is someone who has a heart filled with love and kindness and an amazing personality.
That is beauty !
Not big boobs, plumped lips or a hot ass.
Looks fade, inner beauty is forever - you can't plump your heart with kindness or change the fact you are a nature joker.
And that I truly feel is a blessing.
Having a load of plastic surgery just drains your bank balance, often causes more complications, you lose what you were gifted with and often you have to have re-occuring surgeries to keep on top of it.
Remember the women and men you see may have amazing boobs or an awesome six pack but do they have your skills? Your heart? Your hair? Your eyes? Your brain?
No.
They may be gorgeous but have no depth to them and think about who you would want to spend your time with and enjoy the company of?
Someone who was self obsessed and no intelligence as learning is seen as boring. Spends all their money on surgery, beauty products and material objections. Or someone who has travelled, experienced crazy adventures, is interested in your business and has many goals.
Just have a think.
Self-love is the hardest and most complex of life lessons we face. I battle with this everyday. You watch people everyday go about their lives, living with the smile on their faces, dressing well & acting like they are comfortable in their skin. Though a lot of this time this is just the surface! What people want you to see. The media have created a society that is so judgemental about careers, looks, appearance and perfection that we all now walk around like zombies. Programmed to just paint a smile on, cover up your inner struggles with layers and layers of falseness and automatically without even realising it are now are critical & compare ourselves to others ALL the time. We get so wrapped up in worrying about not possessing certain aspects that others have that we forget and side-line our own beauties and talents. I struggle a lot with this - and I will openly admit that now. I always feel my abilities are never good enough. I watch friends & family rock at their careers, be amazingly successful & popular with whoever they come in contact with. Your mind plays tricks on you telling you that you could never be loved by people like they are, you don't have the talent they do to succeed and you are pretty enough to people adored. We forget that, yes your friends and family are inspirations and so successful, however they don't have talents you do. You have to then sit down with yourself and address your strengths. WE ALL HAVE WEAKNESSES and yes they are important to accept and address but we spend too long worrying and allowing them to over-shadow our strengths. So we need to spend more time focusing on our strengths to help us accept ourselves better and grow as an individual . I am reading a lot more into law of attraction at the moment - so all about giving off good vibes, positive outlooks etc will bring you positive results in your life and create happiness within your life. Negativity will cause sadness and cause negative events to occur within your life. So lets begin to focus on the good. Remember so much that is put out in the media is false, 'dressed up' and fake. You can spend hours flicking through Instagram, Pinterest & more and see beautiful women with AMAZING body's - boobs, a bum & a flat belly - the dream! But although the image looks very real, it has most likely had hours of editing work added to it, to make the woman look like a model any girl would want to look up too. The right lighting, the perfect clothes, the best hair and flawless make-up all added, enhanced and edited along with the woman's body to paint picture of perfection. The dream. The message? This is what men want - this is what I must be. We get so wrapped up in having to work out 6 times a week to 'be healthy', eat only cucumber, only eat liquids and restrict to get the 'dream' body. The 'dream' body doesn't exist. We all - even Celebs that so many of us look up to have body issues. They dislike their legs, or hate their ears etc. Do we notice these issues on them? No! So will Clive down the street look at you and think 'her legs are too muscly.' No!
He may consider that you have good muscles in your legs due to the amount of team sport you play but he will ultimately be focusing on the aspects of you he is attracted to! For example you may have gorgeous deep green eyes. We need to pick up more on our strengths, what makes us - us, what we like about ourselves so that more than ever these amazing aspects shine so much brighter that what you class as you.
We don't need to be changing ourselves. Paying thousands to try and achieve what our favourite celeb looks like or the latest surgery trend.
Dig deeper and realise that you are worth so much more and so is your body. You body was gifted to you! Nobody else. So respect that and know you are a stronger than bowing down to the media, trends and latest crazes. You rock things your way.
Give & spread love but don't forget to spray yourself with the love potion too!
Treat yourself life you deserve! Don't be critical on yourself.
Don't let anyone or anything dull your sparkle.
Work on remembering your strengths, talents, strengths and your fave parts of yourself.
Illimate the negatives and keep in mind the false smoke screens we are presented with in the media.
We are worthy, beautiful and talented in our own ways. We need to love and appreciate that! And the right person will appreciate and love for YOU too - no changes needed!!❤️
