Our bodies are swimming with toxins which leave us feeling sluggish, give us diseases and leave us feeling everything but on top form. Try introducing some of these foods into your diet and see if you can see any improvements in yourself, how you feel and do your body some good.

- Green tea - helps rid the body of free radicals.

- Garlic - detoxifies the liver.

- Onions - detoxifies the liver.

- Ginger - doesn't just help nausea but also helps with digestion and is known to detoxify the liver.

-Lemon - helps with the digestion process.

-Apples - helps with digestion ( Apple cider vinegar is great stuff ) and detoxes the liver.

-Grapefruit - helps prevent kidney stones & detoxes the liver.

-Kale - flushes out the kidneys and detoxes them.

-Pineapple - cleanses the stomach.

-Asparagus - detoxes the liver

-Beets - rids the body of free radicals and detoxes the liver.

These foods and spices are easy to add into your diet. As you can see a lot of them focus on the liver, the liver is so important as it ultimately the organ that works to remove toxins out of your body and break them down inefficiently. If you liver is unhealthy then the toxic sit there, do more damage, cause more health issues and make you feel worse. We all know how alcohol a well known toxin makes us feel when we over do it, without the liver functioning correctly you could be feeling rough constantly. So it is important to keep it cleansed and healthy.

Whether you add these foods to salads, dishes, smoothies or create sauces out of them they are easily adaptable into any diets.

Try adding one or two today and see how you feel.

Do you feel less sluggish? Do you feel better in yourself?

Let me know.

I love all these foods and spices above and use them day in day out, constantly.

Remember - health is wealth. Take care of your body it does so much for you! Show it some love back.

Love and peace to all.

COOKING TIPS

#1
Feeling sluggish and rubbish when you have woken up? Get boosting up on bananas the more the better - they will help settle your stomach, boosting digestion, they are a mood enhancer, they will give you the energy you need and keep you full. Buy my book for banana receipe ideas.

#2
Wake up every morning and ATLEAST have one glass of lemon water before doing anything else! Ideally try to drink a litre of water. The lemon wakes up your digestive system ready for the day and has great cleansing properties.

#3
Check your dairy and meat intake - dairy can sit in your system for up to seven days unable to digest properly. Meaning other foods also get neglected and nurtients aren't absorbed properly and you feel extremely bloated. Go and smell your food bin, your stomach will be in that state. Rotting foods in your belly - hmm nice.

#4
DO NOT FEAR CARBS - THEY ARE NOT THE ENEMY! CARB UP!!
Bananas, Rice, Potatoes, Leafy Greens, Corn, Beans, Lentils etc PACK THEM IN GO MAD.

#5
NEVER COUNT CALORIES - NEVER RESTRICT!! These restriction 'starvation' diets who tell you to only eat 500 calories a day then have a treat day - where you binge out and eat WAY too much, is simply messing up your metabolism and on your binge days yours body stores all the fat meaning you gain weight because it knows it is going to go back into starvation mode and needs to hold onto every little thing it can. HELLO WEIGHT GAIN.

Life is too short not to live it to the full, making yourself happy.
