Be Grateful.

On such a lovely day, it's beautiful to see people enjoy the sun ☀️ and all the pleasures that come alongside it.

However, it is quite a hard day in the fact that I wish I could spend this day how I would truly like to and used too. Enjoying friends & family's company eating ice cream 🍦 and huge slices of delicious cake at my favourite cafe.

People who think that I am sometimes fussy or just being awkward don't fully understand. It is like pain, nobody understand until they feel it themselves.

People are quick to judge.. but before you do, just think about having to give up something you truly loved and brings you pleasure. How it would effect you.

I want people to enjoy the above and I am not saying that my friends and family can't enjoy for themselves these actitivity's at the moment I can't take part in. I am trying to make people realise that we need to be more grateful and treasure these moments we may not see as big or just the 'norm' as everything big or small are blessings. We never know when or if there will become a time when we can no longer enjoy the activities, opportunities, loved ones we used to.

Never did I see two years ago that I wouldn't be able to eat ice cream, pizza, cake etc. I was simply taking for granted being able to take regular trips to Wallings for huge sundaes, eating out with my family ordering my fave roasted veg pizza most Sunday's and practically spending every weekend at Light Ash with my massive slice of cake big enough to feed a family.

I am so guilty of at the time just seeing these pleasures as rountine, not cherishing them. Now I would do anything to be able to take part in the above, eat those foods, enjoy them with my friends and family and really cherish the moment.

So get out there - order that massive sundae, ring your bestie and go out for that pizza, have a few cocktails in the sun and round your family up for an afternoon drink and catch up. Be grateful for the food, company and weather. Use your time wisely and embrace every moment. Your washing, your chores can be left  for the day. Enjoy and embrace the experiences when they arise.

Cherish and be grateful.

Have the best day - eat pizza, have ice cream and a cocktail for me :)

SOPHIE'S
COOKING TIPS

#1
Feeling sluggish and rubbish when you have woken up? Get boosting up on bananas the more the better - they will help settle your stomach, boosting digestion, they are a mood enhancer, they will give you the energy you need and keep you full. Buy my book for banana receipe ideas.

#2
Wake up every morning and ATLEAST have one glass of lemon water before doing anything else! Ideally try to drink a litre of water. The lemon wakes up your digestive system ready for the day and has great cleansing properties.

#3
Check your dairy and meat intake - dairy can sit in your system for up to seven days unable to digest properly. Meaning other foods also get neglected and nurtients aren't absorbed properly and you feel extremely bloated. Go and smell your food bin, your stomach will be in that state. Rotting foods in your belly - hmm nice.

#4
DO NOT FEAR CARBS - THEY ARE NOT THE ENEMY! CARB UP!!
Bananas, Rice, Potatoes, Leafy Greens, Corn, Beans, Lentils etc PACK THEM IN GO MAD.

#5
NEVER COUNT CALORIES - NEVER RESTRICT!! These restriction 'starvation' diets who tell you to only eat 500 calories a day then have a treat day - where you binge out and eat WAY too much, is simply messing up your metabolism and on your binge days yours body stores all the fat meaning you gain weight because it knows it is going to go back into starvation mode and needs to hold onto every little thing it can. HELLO WEIGHT GAIN.

Life is too short not to live it to the full, making yourself happy.
