I myself suffer extremely badly with anxiety and have many close friends that do too.
It is a very isolating and lonely problem.
Here are some easy things to incorporate into your life, reducing your worries and improving your life.
1. Don't believe you tell yourself. Anxiety increases worst-case scenario thinking, and if you think like this all the time you trigger that cycle of fear and anxiety.
2. Consider what increses your anxiety. Is it work, family, friends or something else?
Write a journal and track it. See where there is a pattern so you can work on that particular area.
3. Talk to someone about it. Tell your friends, family that you are over-whelmed, why you are struggling so then they understand and can offer advice and help.
4. Don't let your worries hold you back from living life. Many them turn out to be false alarms. So don't miss out on that cinema trip or meal out - live the life you want and desire. Fight against the anxious thoughts. You are bigger than them.
5. See your GP. If you anxiety is increases in bouts and is effecting your whole life - work, sleep, social then they may be able to point you in the direction of a therapist or some med's to ease the anxiety.
Anxiety is more common than we like to believe. Sufferers often feel very alone and like they are going crazy! But they aren't. YOU aren't.
However we can not just sit there and let it effect our lives causing us to quit jobs, stop seeing friends and stop us leaving the house.
We all have bills to pay, friends are who we create life moments & memories with and there is more to life than your four walls.
We only get one life - so let's shake off the worry and live.
Find a job you love, spend as much time as you can with friends & family cherishing every moment and get out and about.
How do you guys deal with your anxiety? Any tips you would like to share?!
Reach out and let's keep talking about it raising awareness and fighting our fears everyday.
Love and peace - S xoxo
